Established in late 2013 through a joint venture between Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. of Japan, Universal Motors Corporation (UMC), and Yuryu Motors, Inc., the unified entity consolidated Nissan’s automotive operations in the country to establish a single, aggressive brand strategy.
