The University of Luzon (UL) is a private university located in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, founded in 1948 by Atty. Luis F. Samson, Sr. and a group of colleagues under the name Luzon College of Commerce and Business Administration (LCCBA). The institution was renamed Luzon Colleges in 1952 and was granted university status by CHED in 2002. With over 76 years of academic tradition, UL is known as the "Home of the Golden Tigers" and is composed of 10 colleges and 1 specialized school offering programs in accountancy, business, nursing, criminology, computer studies, education, engineering, hospitality and tourism, liberal arts, and medical laboratory science. The university holds five PACUCOA Level III Re-accredited programs and is recognized by CHED as the first and only Center of Excellence in Criminology in Northern Luzon. UL maintains active partnerships with various government agencies and academic organizations both locally and internationally.
