United Philippine Lines, Inc. (UPL) is a Philippine-based maritime manning agency established in 1960. Originally operating cargo liner services between the Philippines and the United States, UPL has since evolved into one of the country's leading seafarer recruitment, placement, and crew management firms. It is licensed by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) to deploy Filipino seafarers to international cruise vessels, oil and gas tankers, bulk carriers, chemical tankers, LPG/LNG carriers, and superyachts. UPL is recognized as a pioneer in the Philippine manning industry, having been the first to place Filipino seafarers aboard international cruise ships in 1972 in partnership with Holland America Line. The company is a consistent awardee of the POEA Top Performer Award and Hall of Fame, and a recipient of the Presidential Award of Excellence.
